Where:
All rounds must be played at The Bays on Coleman facility on our top-of-the-line Trackman simulators.
Courses:
The March Madness courses will be selected and posted by The Bays on Coleman as each round begins.
Format & Scoring Format:
Each round of the tournament will be individually played, stroke net scoring using Trackman-generated handicaps. There will be permitted only one entry per round. If the ball is within 8 feet of the pin, our Trackman systems will auto-putt for a single stroke. No mulligans.
Eligible Entries:
All entrants are required to be a member of The Bays. Members must be onboarded before play and in order to be eligible. Players 18+ are eligible to share in cash prizes. All players must have and be logged into their Trackman app and profile during play for their scores to be counted. Rounds must be played at The Bays on Coleman in order to be eligible.
Handicap and Skill Level:
You may only use your Trackman handicap, which must be emailed to and affirmatively accepted by The Bays before your round begins. If you don't already have an assigned Trackman handicap, please review for requirements. Please be sure to identify your gender on your Trackman app before beginning to ensure you are playing from the appropriate pins. New and/or suspicious handicap discrepancies will be closely scrutinized for disqualification at The Bays' sole discretion (for example, finishing -38 with a 36 HCP).
Tiebreaker Rules:
If a tie occurs, a 9-hole playoff round will be held on a course of The Bays choosing, with only the playoff score counting. If the playoff round results in another tie, the winner will be determined by a closest-to-the-pin challenge on a hole selected by The Bays on Coleman until a winner is awarded.
Prizes & Payouts Grand Prize:
The winning player will receive a minimum $1,000 cash prize.
All entry fees exceeding $1,000 will go to the winner of the tournament.
Entry Fee and Qualification:
A $50 entry fee must be paid in order to receive an email invitation to the qualifying round of the tournament. Only one entry and one entry fee will be accepted per member.
Your qualifying round must be completed by 11:59PM on March 8, 2025.
The top 15 qualifiers, and the member-winner of the member-guest tournament will advance to the 16-player bracket.
Top 16 bracket through Championship:
The member-guest winner will be randomized a 1-16 seed. Direct qualifiers from the first round will be seeded in a standard 1-16 fashion (i.e. #1 vs #16, #2 vs #15), and announced on March 10, "Selection Monday". The tournament rounds will be played non-simultaneously at each player's convenience within the following time windows, and on the courses of The Bays' choosing to be announced later:
-Sweet 16: March 11-20
-Elite 8: March 21-28
-Final Four: March 29-Apr 5
-Championship event: April 7, played simultaneously and scheduled at the same time as the NCAA basketball championship game. If the two finalists mutually agree on a different date/time to be played prior to April 10, The Bays will make every effort to support the schedule change.
During each tournament round, the leaderboard will show up as a list of all participants; however, the winners will be decided on the direct matchups on the bracket as the Trackman tournament software doesn't support bracket management.
Additional Prizes:
Additional prizes may be available and announced throughout the contest. The rules and awards may be announced for these side contests and side prizes throughout the duration of the tournament and do not impact the contest prize.
Cheating & Disqualification:
Any attempt to manipulate the simulator, substitute players for swings, or alter gameplay in a dishonest manner will result in immediate disqualification. The Bays on Coleman reserves the right to disqualify any team at its sole discretion, with or without cause. We reserve the right to monitor play onsite or remotely to verify compliance with rules and accuracy of scoring.
Waivers:
All participants must be registered through our Member Agreement, which includes a facility waiver and release of liability, before play and immediately upon entering The Bays on Coleman.
Taxes on Winnings:
Please consult a tax professional with any questions about your winnings. If an individual’s prize exceeds $600 The Bays on Coleman will issue a 1099 form according to IRS requirements.

The Bays on Coleman tournament organizers will have the final say in any play related disputes. Please report any such issues to manager@thebaysgolf.com as soon as the issue arises.
